the emmy's 2005: the day after

ok, i'm slightly peeved that will & grace, as usual, got snubbed once again at the emmy's! i can't believe they lost everything to everybody loves raymond! yes raymond's a good show but so is will & grace! urgh! infuriates me!

anyway, let's go on a more frivalous but yet still very much important aspect of the emmy's... the fashion! let's take a look at wot's hott and wot's not, who tops the list and who flops to the bottom!

oh my goodness! this elie saab gown is gorgeous! she's practically glowing! the best dress this year! she looked like she's dressed to win. unfortunately, she didn't but oh well! the dress is a big winner! the empire cut and the detailing around the stomach area is just so breathtaking. the gown sorta gathers at the right spots so it really accentuates on her curves and gorgeous body! i like how she kept it simple with just a stunning pair of earrings and a beautiful bracelet and she had her gorgeous red hair down. it would have been a disaster if she were to put on some huge diamond necklace and tied her hair up! she's already a beautiful lady and this look sets her up as a fashionista of red carpet elegance!

ok, i'm feeling slightly blah about her outfit. i mean she looks stunning and the diamonds.. ooohh.. bling bling! but there's just something about this outfit that makes her look very stiff. maybe it's the bustier or maybe it's the train. she kinda looked like a mermaid gone bad! i believe this dress would have looked fabulous and she'd looked even more stunning if it ended just at her heels.. long enough to scream out abfab and short enough to not make her trip on it and tumble all over the red carpet!

somebody explain to me why the beautiful eva longoria chose to wear this gown!? i mean i know you were not nominated eva but this outfit makes you look soooooo yesterday! honestly, she looked like a lost pocahontas! this aztec inspired outfit should really remain in the aztec ruins! looking back, she looked amazing at the vma's this year! wot happened! robert verdi u need to arrest ur clientele!

this outfit to me doesn't spell out a winner but she won the best actress anyway! i love felicty and i think she deserves to win but somehow i think she should have put more thought into the gown. you know teri ain't gonna bag it this year and the competition's left between you and marcia! so next red carpet, please wear something glam and abolutely fabulous!

i'm not sure if the skirt of the dress is wot people call the tiered look. i don't think so but i dun have much to comment on nicollete. she didn't get nominated and she dressed like someone who won't even get nominated.. 'nuff said!

oh my g-d! wot the hell happened? this by the way is another elie saab creation and it's a gorgeous gown! i think the pattern on the gown sorta copied halle berry's oscar winner dress but this dress rawks! unfortunately, i cannot say the same for debra! oh debra.. you're a mess! i hate the hair, i hate the make up. i think she looked scary! the hair makes her look very.. bride of frankenstein! moving on!

perfection! i think this is simple elegance! we can now safely forget her infamous debaucle of catwoman! i'm not sure who's dress this is. maybe elie saab. but maybe it's the it girl of red carpet design for this year, monique lhuillier. this understated dress screams out simplicity and yet at the same time timeless elegance! i love how she kept it simple, hair in a pony tail and oop earrings. you work it girl! this outfit clearly shows that this movie star diva knows how to take a back seat but still rawks the red carpet!

she is definitely the most beautiful pregnant woman in the show! ok, perhaps she's the only pregnant woman there! but it's so stunning! the dress is gorgeously cut to show off her pregnant belly. this girl is not afraid to show off her pregnant body and we're loving it cos she's loving it! it brings us back to the timeless elegance of catherine zeta jones at the oscars when she was pregnant! the matching brooch and earrings brings her to the top of the list!

she's a beautiful girl but this dress makes her look like she's wrapped in a gold tin foil! it's too bleargh! i mean she looks amazing and all.. but something's not right with her in the outfit. we say chuck it out!

i think i'm loving this dress even though the beaded/sequenced (i can't really make out wot it is) detailling to this oscar de la renta dress makes her look very nautical.. almost mermaid like.. almost not in a good way. she looks old!

ummm.. maybe it's the posture.. but i think it's the dress! i like the colour but not so when you're that fair and you're standing on the red carpet! i mean she practically blended in with the carpet! it's very grecian, it's very bright.. it's very.. wrong.. but the dress is horrid i think!

va-va-voom! wow! for a woman who just gave birth.. she looked fan-ta-bu-lous! now, we can only hope the other woman who just gave birth could look just as stunning.. (we're talking about britney by the way!)

wot is she doing here? but she looked splendid.. very old and mature tho but i think the halter dress is quite old hollywood, very marilyn-esque.. less racy.. more boring!

i'm not sure wot the hell is going on here! this dolce & gabbana 50's inspired dress does nothing for her! i think she's trying to bring back the quirky, red carpet eccentric elegance of sarah jessica parker. so not happening!! she always looks good but last night, she just looked.. wrong! the chiffon detailing looks very shredded tissue paper, dipped in black dye and pasted all over her skirt!

and there it is.. the red carpet look at this year's emmy awards.. nonetheless, after all that we've seen, we can't help but to miss the very thing or person that made watching the emmy's memorable and fun... sarah jessica parker. her fun and eccentric sense of style makes her a fun fashion maven and a red carpet legend!

this year's emmy's was certainly lacking in the fun, risque couture and taking up orders for a very boring, yet mature, understated elegance. we need sarah jessica to spice up the red carpet!

and jennifer love hewitt.. this is the look you wanted to reproduce but failed miserably at!
