let's talk about NKF
and so splashed across the pages of the papers this week is none other than the trial of NKF and SPH. i've been bloghopping so much since then and it appears to be that every blog in the country is talking about it.
it's amazing how a non-profit organisation can churn out S$25,000 to pay for its CEO! i mean, where the hell did the money come from? it is a non-profit organisation so where's the money coming from? things like these baffles me.
reding the court transcripts, it made me realise how side-tracked the case has been. i mean davinder singh is a smart lawyer but it's a defamation suit not one about his gold tap or his private toilet or his huge office or a fleet of 8 cars and drivers. having said that, if i was being questioned by davinder singh in court, i'd pee in my pants! i mean come on.. have you read the transcripts? it was scary and davinder singh is mighty good!
i wonder if i should be a lawyer instead of a teacher. yes, i want to be a teacher! haha. letting this information out is rather scary, i mean, there are some CRA-ZY parents out there who will track me down and stop me from teaching in a class room unless i'm in a bubble.. i mean, i'm gay, right? so in effect, i have AIDS thus cannot teach anywhere since i'll infect all the furniture and toilet seats and blah blah! NUTCASE!!
but i digress.
reading the transcripts and all, i'm reminded of the time when TT Durai's son, Shiva Durai, and i shared the first three months of our Junior College time together in a class. he was the arrogant rich boy from ACS (I) and i was the flambouyant rich boy from SJI. what are the odds of us being friends?? NONE! we were at loggerheads since the get go. i remember arguing with him one fine day in class..
Shiva: please la! REAL rich kids go to ACS (I). you're not even close to my standard so don't talk to me, silly JOSEPHINE!
ME: smart rich kids go to SJI! and at least, my parents are rich on their own account. your father takes the public money so that he can house you in a BIG house! which in effect, i'm paying for you to be in a BIG house! so actually, my parents are your dad's bosses, dumbass!
(sidenote: SJI boys are known as JOSEPHIANS.. but because i was a flaming fairy, well JOSEPHINE it is to him!)
then again, there's one thing that irks me. singaporeans like to focus on the negative and harp on it. think carefully, before TT Durai came, you don't even know there's such a thing as NKF and collecting donations for the foundation was some what like begging! but ever since he came on board, the foundation has been doing so well and raking in millions! of course, what he does may or may not be to your liking but people do benefit from his leadership. some people are sooo quick to judge him.
yes i agree that NKF should be more transparent in how they're handling the money and everything else. but it's not fair to lash out and question why TT Durai needs to be paid THAT much money and question what he had done to deserve such a pay! why don't you go and head a non-functional, non-profit organization and turn it into a multi-million organisation!
stop vandalizing the NKF properties! how immature! don't you have anything better to do? seriously, singaporeans have too much time on their hands. SPG came out and they bashed her.. NKF became front page news and they're vandalizing the properties as well! so stupid! ummm.. get a life?!
i was pissed with TT Durai's "holier than thou" attitude and shiva's for that matter.. but i'm more pissed with the singaporeans who go around thinking they know better! get a life!
and on a sidenote...
mrs goh chok tong, ma'am.. that outfit does NOTHING for your figure actually it does NOTHING for ANYTHING! tanned suit with leopard print top!? hello! you're the senior ministers wife.. please wear armani or chanel or sth! not a getai/tai tai get up!
and i have a bone to pick with the media.. how come all these politicians wife are called mrs so and so?? like mrs goh chok tong, mrs s r nathan, mrs lee hsien loong? what? don't they have names?! ridiculous. but that's another issue altogether!
