my mom and dad's an A!

today's article on grading parents caught me off guard. i didn't know they were actually surveying! how come i wasn't ask?

anyway, i agree on most of the points some of the people surveyed made. my dad never really did try to get to know my friends. or at least remember their names. so as i was contemplating whether i should follow the rest of the crowd and rate my dad a C-, i began to ponder upon what would make him a grade A in my books.

truth be told, i don't need him to know all off my friends' names. i don't need him to be around all the time. because honestly, i know he loves me and he cares alot for me. my dad's very strict and a disciplinarian but he loves us (my brothers and i) all the same.

my mom. well, nothing in the world can describe my mom. yes i argue with her sometimes. and yes i'd disagree and often rejects her ideas. but i wouldn't trade her for the world!

they taught me how to cry when they left me at my gram's place since i was born
they taught me how to disipline myself when they left me on my own at 10
they taught me not to lie when i lied about having religious class, even though there wasn't!
my mom taught me how to spray on perfume at the most strategic place when i started to notice how gorgeous and seductive bvlgari extereme was when i was 16
they taught me not to wear 'atrocious' pants when my mom asked me to dump my 3/4 on the spot and bought me a spanking new pair of Guess? jeans when i was 17
they taught me to forget quantity and pay more attention on quality when they bought me my first LV when i was 19

yup! they may not be perfect but they did wat they thought was sensible and that is enough for me... thanks for bringing me up and loving me with all your might!

20years and counting!
